Summer Pet Care Guide by our Vets for Keeping Your Furry Friends Safe 

• Hydration: Give plenty of water - always available in the bowl. Feed wet food like Puppy Gravy or little curd rice.

• Grooming: Dogs don't have sweat glands on the body so hair trimming will not help in facing the heat; in fact, it causes sunburn.

• Indoor Cooling: Ensure your home is cool and comfortable for your pet, using fans or coolers  if necessary. 

• Avoid heat: Limit outside walking to early mornings or late evening. Avoid fast transitions from AC to the sun or vice versa.

• Pawtection: Protect you pet's paws by preventing walking on hot surfaces.

• Avoid staying in car: Never keep your pet in the car parked in the hot sun

• Prevent ectoparasites: Use vet-recommended flea and tick preventatives to protect your pet from pests. 

• Watch out for stress: Excessive panting, drooling/ thick saliva may indicate your pet is under heat stress please contact us immediately.
