JOLLYROGER is the first* Dogeparty asset with an on chain transaction documenting that its artwork was attached on August 19, 2014 (transaction index 13,590 at block 342,893). The artwork is from Open Clip Art Library displaying a Jolly Roger („pirate flag“). Total locked supply of this indivisible token equals 550.

Fun fact: in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean movies, they use this kind of flag with a skull over crossed swords flown on the Black Pearl.

JOLLYROGER.TEW

The subasset JOLLYROGER.TEW with a supply of 550 refers to Thomas Tew. It is also an Open Clip Art Library and issued on March 26, 2022. Tew was a 17th-century English privateer-turned-pirate. He embarked on two major pirate voyages and met a bloody death on the second. He pioneered the route which became known as the Pirate Round.

MILKYWAY

MILKYWAY was minted on August 19, 2014 (block 342,999). The artwork is from Open Clip Art Library displaying an infrared picture of the Milky Way, our home galaxy. It is a reference to SETI@home, an experiment that uses Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). Everyone could participate by running a program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data. Total (locked) supply of MILKYWAY is 300.00000000 which resembles the approx. 300 million meters light is travelling per second. The supply has not been changed since issuance.

March 29, 2022: 0.1 MILKYWAY per 1 JOLLYROGER were dropped.

JOLLYROGER.SEADOGS

The subasset JOLLYROGER.SEADOGS with a supply of 550 was created for a Spells of Genesis Challenge. Our contribution was selected as runner-up in this competition with 17 submissions. The card description reads "Captain Jack is one of the most famous pirates to ever sail the open seas, known as a true pioneer of the Doge party. Some people say he sometimes uses a secret spell to make himself "invisible", others say he just loves to disappear with a bottle of Gin. But damn it, he loves to do good every day, and hands over his Doge treasures to the people."

It was dropped to JOLLYROGER holder on May 22, 2022.

JOLLYROGER.WYNNEWYNNE

The subasset JOLLYROGER.WYNNE with a supply of 550 refers to Emanuel Wynne. He was a French Pirate from the "Golden Age of Piracy", who was probably the first to use a Jolly Roger type of pirate flag.

It was dropped to JOLLYROGER holder on July 24, 2022.
