By downloading, installing, or using Dog Breed Identifier (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Dog Breed Identifier is an AI-powered application designed to help users identify dog breeds using image recognition technology. The App allows users to:
Capture or upload a photo of a dog
Receive AI-generated breed identification and confidence estimates
View breed characteristics, traits, and general information
Save identification history and favorite results
Access educational content related to dog breeds and care
The App relies on third-party artificial intelligence and image-processing technologies (“AI Engines”). Availability, accuracy, and performance may vary. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
The App does not require user accounts. Certain features may rely on persistent device identifiers to manage usage limits and subscription status.
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the security of your device
All activity that occurs through your device
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse, abuse, or violations of these Terms are suspected.
You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You may not:
Upload images you do not have the legal right to use
Upload illegal, explicit, harmful, or abusive content
Use the App to infringe intellectual property rights
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract AI models, datasets, or training data
Bypass usage limits, subscriptions, or paywalls
Use the App to provide commercial dog-identification or veterinary services
Resell, license, or distribute AI outputs as a paid service or dataset
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.
You retain ownership of the original photos you submit.
JanoGroup LLC (“we,” “us”) and our licensors retain all rights to the App, software, AI Engines, interfaces, trademarks, and generated content not provided by you.
The free version of the App grants a limited, revocable, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use only. Outputs may not be sold, licensed, or used in commercial products or services.
An active paid subscription grants a non-exclusive license to use AI-generated breed results for:
Personal education and dog ownership
Sharing with veterinarians or trainers for personal use
Personal social media sharing
Non-commercial presentations (attribution recommended)
Not permitted:
Commercial resale of outputs
Operating a dog identification or consulting service
Automated scraping or bulk export
Use in veterinary, breeding, or commercial animal services without proper licensing
Breed identifications are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or inaccuracies, especially for mixed breeds or low-quality images.
Results are informational only and not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.
Portions of the App rely on third-party AI services. We are not responsible for claims related to their training data, methods, or outputs.

AI-generated results may:
Misidentify similar-looking breeds
Perform poorly on blurry or low-quality images
Provide incomplete information
Vary based on lighting, angle, or posture
Do not rely on results for:
Medical or veterinary decisions
Legal or breeding determinations
Safety assessments without professional input
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is collected, processed, and protected.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JANOGROUP LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
JANOGROUP LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM MISIDENTIFICATION OF DOG BREEDS.
TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JanoGroup LLC from claims arising from:
Your use of the App
Content you submit
Violations of these Terms
Decisions made based on AI results
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA.
Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Rules, conducted virtually or in Washington, DC.
No class actions permitted.
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days by emailing janogroupllc@gmail.com with the subject: “Arbitration Opt-Out.”
You may cancel subscriptions via App Store settings.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations or abuse. Upon termination, rights to use the App cease.
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via release notes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
