Paper Plate Fish
Create colorful fish with easy to find craft supplies!
You will need:
Paper plates (the non-waxed plates work the best)
Paint, crayons, markers, or colored pencils
Glue or tape
Scissors
Recycled materials: you can use various recycled materials to decorate your fish such as scraps of construction paper, magazines, cardboard, milk cartons, etc.
Directions:
To create a paper plate fish, first color and decorate your paper plate fish adding the eye and mouth. You may also decide to cut out the mouth on one side of the plate. Next use recycled materials to create fins and a tail for your fish. Glue or tape the fins and tail to your fish. Add any finishing touches you like!
Pop Up Turtle
Create a cute turtle in two easy steps!
You will need:
Copies of turtle template
Crayons, colored pencils, markers
Tape
Directions:
Print out copies of the turtle template found below. Have each student color his/her turtle. Cut out the turtle going around the outside edges of the drawing. Make one last cut along the dotted line. Tape your turtle shell on the back side so that the shell pops up like a real turtle shell.
