Privacy Policy for DocuSuite
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
DocuSuite ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application DocuSuite ("the App") handles your information, files, and personal data.
By downloading, installing, or using DocuSuite, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect and Process
A. Documents, Files, and Scanned Content
Local Storage & Offline First: All documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, notes, text files, and scanned images created or imported into DocuSuite are stored locally on your device.
Zero Cloud Uploads: We do not automatically upload, transmit, store, or view the contents of your files on any remote private servers. Your documents remain entirely within your private device storage.
B. Device Permissions
DocuSuite may request the following permissions solely to provide core document tools:
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used strictly when you open the Document Scanner to take photos of documents, receipts, or notes to crop and convert them into PDF format. Photos are never uploaded to any external server.
Storage / Media Access: Used to allow you to open, edit, save, and export PDF, DOCX, and XLSX files from or to your device storage.
C. Automatically Collected Information & Third-Party Services
DocuSuite uses trusted third-party service providers that may collect standard device and technical data to serve advertisements and process payments:
1. Google AdMob (Mobile Ads SDK)
Purpose: To serve non-personalized and personalized banner/interstitial advertisements.
Data Collected: Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), crash logs, diagnostic performance data, and general device information.
Privacy Policy: Google Privacy & Terms | AdMob Policies
2. Google Play In-App Billing
Purpose: To process subscription plans and premium ad-free purchases.
Data Collected: Purchase history and transaction tokens. All financial and payment card details are processed directly by Google Play; DocuSuite never receives or stores your credit card information.
Privacy Policy: Google Play Terms of Service
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected exclusively for:
Opening, reading, editing, and generating PDF, Word, Excel, and scanned documents on your device.
Providing ad-supported free features and verifying premium subscriptions.
Maintaining app stability, preventing crashes, and improving app performance.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal data or document contents.
Your documents are only shared when you explicitly invoke the system share sheet (e.g., emailing a PDF or sharing a document via messaging apps).
4. Data Retention and Deletion
User Content: Because your documents, notes, and scans are stored locally on your device, deleting a document within the app or uninstalling the app permanently removes the local data from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
DocuSuite is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected inadvertently, please contact us so we can take appropriate measures.
6. Security
We prioritize safeguarding your files. DocuSuite operates an on-device architecture using Android's sandboxed local application storage and Room database, ensuring that other apps on your device cannot access your DocuSuite files without explicit permission.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
