By using DocuMind, you agree to use the app only for lawful document tasks, including scanning, reading, editing, converting, printing, translating, summarizing, signing, and organizing files.
You are responsible for the documents that you import, create, edit, convert, share, export, print, sign, or delete in the app. Do not use DocuMind to violate laws, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, contractual duties, or the rights of any other person or organization.
DocuMind may provide AI, OCR, translation, summarization, extraction, and document analysis features. These results may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. You should review important outputs before relying on them, especially for legal, financial, medical, academic, business, or other important decisions.
Some features may be unlocked through rewarded advertisements or other availability-based mechanisms. Rewarded ad availability is not guaranteed and may depend on your region, device, network connection, ad providers, and other factors outside our control.
We may update, change, suspend, or remove app features from time to time to improve the app, fix issues, meet legal requirements, or maintain service availability.
This Privacy Policy explains how DocuMind accesses, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the app.
DocuMind is designed to keep your local documents on your device unless you choose a feature that requires external processing, network access, sharing, ads, support, or cloud-based AI/OCR services.
Depending on the features you use, DocuMind may access, collect, or process the following types of information:
Documents and document content that you choose to open, scan, import, edit, convert, translate, summarize, analyze, export, print, share, or process.
Text, images, pages, tables, file names, file metadata, and extracted content from selected documents.
Camera images when you use scanning features.
App settings, selected language, feature preferences, unlock status, and local app configuration.
Document passwords that you choose to save in the app.
AI prompts, questions, chat messages, document excerpts, OCR results, translation text, summary text, and related processing results.
Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, diagnostics, crash logs, performance data, and error information.
Firebase authentication or session data when Firebase-backed features are used.
Advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, ad interaction data, and similar signals when ads are shown.
Notification-related data needed to show reading controls, export progress, document alerts, or other app status updates.
We use information to:
Open, display, edit, convert, export, print, sign, and organize documents.
Scan documents using the camera and convert scanned pages into files such as PDF.
Provide AI chat, document analysis, summarization, translation, OCR, text extraction, and related document intelligence features.
Save app settings, selected language, and user preferences.
Store saved document passwords securely on your device when you choose to save them.
Show rewarded ads and other ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with advertising requirements.
Authenticate sessions, maintain app security, diagnose crashes, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve app performance.
Respond to support, privacy, or user requests.
Comply with legal, policy, safety, and platform requirements.
Documents that you open or create locally remain on your device unless you choose to share them, export them, upload them, or use a feature that requires network processing.
Saved document passwords are stored using encrypted Android storage on your device. You can delete local documents, generated files, saved passwords, or app data from within the app where available or through Android system settings.
When you use AI chat, document summarization, translation, network OCR, extraction, or other network-based features, selected document content, prompts, questions, images, extracted text, or related data may be sent to our backend systems and service providers for processing.
Network processing is used only to provide the feature you request, improve reliability, prevent abuse, maintain security, and support the app. Do not submit documents or content that you are not authorized to process or share.
DocuMind may show ads, including rewarded ads, through Google AdMob and its advertising partners.
When ads are shown, Google AdMob and its partners may collect or receive device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, approximate location, app information, and similar signals for advertising, personalization where allowed, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and compliance.
In regions where consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, ads personalization and related data use may depend on your consent choices and applicable consent messages.
DocuMind may use third-party services to provide app features, analytics, authentication, crash prevention, advertising, AI processing, OCR, translation, and support. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.
Third-party services may include:
Google AdMob for ads and rewarded ads.
Google Firebase for authentication, diagnostics, crash reporting, configuration, security, or app infrastructure.
Google ML Kit or related OCR technologies for text recognition features.
AI, translation, OCR, cloud, or backend service providers used to process selected document content when you request network-based features.
DocuMind requests only permissions needed for app features:
Camera: used to scan documents and capture pages.
File, media, or storage access: used to let you choose, open, import, edit, export, save, and manage documents. DocuMind uses Android file access mechanisms where available and does not require full-device file access unless a feature or Android version requires it.
Internet: used for AI features, translation, network OCR, ads, Firebase services, diagnostics, support, and other network-based features.
Notifications: used for reading controls, export progress, document status, alerts, or other app activity updates.
Foreground service or media playback permissions: used where needed to keep reading, playback, or long-running document tasks visible and controlled.
You can manage app permissions in Android system settings. Some features may not work if the required permission is denied.
We may share or transmit information in the following cases:
With service providers that help operate app features, such as AI processing, OCR, translation, ads, Firebase services, crash prevention, diagnostics, hosting, security, or support.
When you choose to export, print, share, upload, or send a document using app or system sharing features.
When required to comply with law, legal process, platform policies, safety requirements, or enforceable government requests.
To protect the rights, privacy, safety, security, or property of users, the app, service providers, or others.
We do not sell your local documents.
Local documents and generated files remain on your device until you delete them or remove app data.
Saved document passwords remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, uninstall the app, or remove them through an available app feature.
Data processed by backend systems or third-party services may be retained for the time needed to provide features, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose issues, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce policies.
You may request privacy support or deletion assistance by contacting documenai_support@gmail.com. We may need information to verify and process your request.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including Android encrypted storage for saved document passwords and secure network transmission where applicable.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You should avoid processing highly sensitive documents unless you understand and accept the risks of the selected feature, especially network-based AI, OCR, translation, or sharing features.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at documenai_support@gmail.com so we can review and take appropriate action.
