Global Doc Studio Archive

In the summer of 2020, we embarked on a project to digitize the Wheelock College Doc Studio collection to make the materials digitally accessible. Working with archivist, Sarah Yasuda, we digitized over 400 pieces of documentation including mixed media ranging from panels and documents to videos and photographs. By archiving these crucial resources from the Documentation Studio, educators and learners can continue to share with and learn from one another in spite of a pandemic.

A statement about the documentation presented in this expanded Global Doc Studio Archive.

Is there such a thing as a "perfect" piece of documentation?

We see pedagogical documentation as a work in progress. There are always more insights and questions to ask as we study a learning moment or extended project between learners and educators. This archive is not meant to display exemplary documentation. Rather, educators share their work from various contexts, with different ages of children, and from their own experience as they explore and learn about Reggio inspired pedagogical documentation. Respect, appreciate, and learn from the documentation of others.

Consider asking questions of yourself when you view another's documentation:

Who is the audience for this documentation?

What were the documenter's intentions?

What learning do I see?

What other questions do I have?

Use the Contact Us page if you have a specific question about the documentation and perhaps want to connect with the documenter.
