Vialogues

Meaningful and Dynamic Discussions Around Video

Looking for a more interesting way to do an online discussion board? Try Vialogues! This platform enables "meaningful and dynamic time-stamped discussions about videos" and was developed by Teachers College at Columbia University. If you often share videos with your online classes, such as TED videos, this is a great new way to engage in unique discussions. All you need to do is sign up for a free account and have your students do the same. After creating your account, select “create” at the top of the page, then choose a video. You can then create questions for students to answer during the video or simply have students post their reactions during the video as they view it. Then you can post a shared video link within your LMS.
