# Privacy Policy — PDF Converter (com.hsh.docscan)

## Summary
PDF Converter processes all documents and images **entirely on your device**. The app has no server. Files you scan, convert or export never leave your device through this app. The only network traffic the app generates comes from the Google AdMob advertising SDK, described below.
## What the app does with your files
- Scanning uses Google's ML Kit Document Scanner, which runs on-device through Google Play services. Captured pages are written to a temporary file that the app copies to the location you choose, then discards.
- Image to PDF and PDF to image conversions run on-device with Android platform APIs.
- The app stores only file metadata (name, type, page count, size, creation time and a content URI) for the "Recent files" list. It does not copy your files into its own storage. Removing an item from the list never deletes the file.
- File access uses the Android Storage Access Framework. The app does not request camera or storage permissions.
## Advertising (free version)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect and process data such as the advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and interaction with ads, according to Google's policies:

Where required by law, the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are loaded. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options.
If you purchase the premium upgrade, all ads and the advertising SDK requests are disabled.
## Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play Billing or the Samsung Galaxy Store, depending on where you installed the app. The app receives only the purchase status needed to unlock premium features and stores that status on your device. The app does not receive your payment details.
## Data the app itself collects
None. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting and no account system.
## Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
