DocScanner respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This application is designed to work entirely offline and does not collect, store, or share any personal data from users.
1. Data Collection and Storage
The app does not require an internet connection.
No personal information such as names, email addresses, or device identifiers is collected.
All scanning and document processing is performed locally on your device.
No data is transmitted to external servers.
2. Usage of Documents
Documents scanned with DocScanner remain on your device.

You have full control over saving, deleting, or sharing your scanned files using your device’s native options.
3. Permissions
Camera: Used only for capturing new document scans.
Manage External Storage: Required for core functionality — scanning, saving, renaming, moving, and deleting PDF/JPG files across device storage.
Read External Storage (API 32 and below): Allows access to documents on older Android versions.
Read Media Documents (Android 13+): Allows access to document files for scanning on newer devices.
These permissions are strictly limited to the app’s core functionality and are never used for tracking or data collection.

All files remain in your local storage unless you choose to share them manually.
5. Children’s Privacy
