These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DocScan app ("the app"), published by Rehman Ullah ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"). If these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA prevails on matters it covers.
You keep all rights to the documents, images and files you scan, import, or create.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to scan, convert, or process it.
When you use an AI feature or an Office conversion, you instruct us to send the content you selected to our servers and service providers to perform that task, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to: use the app unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; scan or process content you have no right to; attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or our servers; bypass usage limits or security features, or automate requests to our services; or use the app to create or distribute malware or harmful content.
AI-generated results (summaries, answers, translations, extracted data, math solutions) may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are provided for convenience and are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice. Check important results against the original before relying on them.
What Pro includes: unlimited exports and higher daily limits for AI tools and conversions, as described on the in-app purchase screen. Features and limits may change; core scanning and on-device tools remain available without a subscription.
Plans and price: Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, yearly or monthly. The price and any free trial or introductory offer are shown in the app before you purchase and may vary by region and over time.
Free trial and introductory offers: available to eligible new subscribers only, and only once per Apple ID. When a free trial or introductory period ends, your subscription converts to the regular price of the plan unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Billing: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
Managing and canceling: manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Restore: use Restore in the app to recover Pro on a new device with the same Apple ID.
We apply daily usage limits to protect the service and its costs. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the app may be unavailable from time to time. Features that rely on our servers need an internet connection.
The app, including its design, code, and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. These Terms give you no ownership of it. Open-source components are used under their own licenses.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scans, conversions, or AI results will be accurate. Keep backups of important documents.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Islamabad, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have in your place of residence.
