This Privacy Policy describes how DocPdfScan ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your data and privacy.
1. Document Data & On-Device Processing
Your privacy is our top priority:
- Zero Server Uploads: All documents, camera scans, images, and PDF files created or opened within DocPdfScan are processed and stored strictly locally on your device.
- We do not operate remote document servers, and we never collect, transmit, read, or share the contents of your scanned documents.
2. Permissions & Hardware Access
- Document Scanner: Powered by Google Play Services (Google ML Kit Document Scanner). The scanning interface runs via secure Google Play system services without requiring dangerous system permissions.
- Storage & Files: When you open or export PDF files, the app uses the standard Android Storage Access Framework (system file picker) with zero broad storage access permissions.
- Network Access: Required strictly for displaying Google AdMob advertisements and processing Google Play in-app purchases.
3. Third-Party Services & Advertising
DocPdfScan integrates trusted third-party services provided by Google:
- Google AdMob: The free version of the app displays advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and advertising ID to serve ads. You can review Google's advertising policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Play In-App Billing: Handles secure payment processing when purchasing DocPdfScan PRO. All financial transactions are securely handled directly by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Since all your scanned documents are stored locally on your device, deleting documents in the app or uninstalling the app permanently removes those files from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
Our application does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
