# Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how **DocFlow** (referred to as “the App”) handles information while providing services.
Last updated: 2026-03-31
## 1. Information We Collect
1. The App is designed with local-first usage. No account login is required, and document content is not uploaded to servers by default.
2. The App only accesses the following permissions after your approval:
1. Local file access permission (to read, display, and manage documents on your device)
2. Camera permission (for document scanning)
3. Photo/library access permission (for importing images)
4. Notification permission (for scan/import status and reminders)
5. Floating window permission (for quick overlay tools, without accessing extra personal data)
3. We do not actively collect account credentials, contacts, SMS, call logs, location, or other sensitive personal data.
## 2. How We Use Information
1. Local file information is used only for:
1. Document listing, search, opening, and preview
2. Recent reads, pinned items, and sorting/listing display
2. Camera and photo data are used only to create local document files.
3. Device and permission states are used only to determine feature availability and trigger permission guidance.
4. Analytics/crash logs (if any) are used only for stability improvements and do not include document content or personally identifiable information.
## 3. Data Storage and Retention
1. Document content and edited results are mainly stored locally on the device and are not synced to the cloud.
2. History data (e.g., recent reads) is stored locally as well.
3. You can remove history data within the app using the clear history function.
4. If the App is uninstalled or app data is cleared, local cache and usage history are removed according to system behavior.
## 4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
1. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
2. Except where required by law or valid legal request, we do not disclose your data to third parties.
3. The current version does not use third-party account login or cloud sync services and does not default to external analytics integrations. Any future third-party SDK additions will be disclosed in this policy before rollout.
## 5. Permissions and Your Choices
1. Permissions for files, camera, photos, notifications, and floating windows are optional.
2. You may revoke any permission anytime from system settings.
3. If a permission is denied, some features (such as scanning, importing, or notification reminders) may be unavailable or limited.
## 6. Security Measures
1. Document processing is primarily performed on-device to reduce data exposure risk.
2. The app follows minimum-access principles and requests each permission only when needed for the related feature.
3. Sensitive actions are controlled through OS-level permission restrictions.
## 7. Children’s Privacy
1. The App is intended for general users.
2. If you are a minor, please use the App under parental or guardian guidance and with their consent.
## 8. Your Rights
1. You can revoke permissions, clear local history, delete local files, or uninstall the App at any time.
2. You can remove local history data via the `Clear history` feature.
3. Since most data is stored locally, data review and deletion are performed through the device and app settings.
## 9. Policy Updates
1. This policy may be updated as features evolve.
2. When updated, the new version will be shown in-app and take effect after release.
3. Continued use of the App after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
