This Privacy Policy describes how Doc Viewer handles information when the application is used on a mobile device. The application is engineered to operate locally, so the volume of data involved is minimal and control stays with the user.
Doc Viewer requires no registration, and no personally identifying details are requested in order to use its features. The sections below set out precisely what is processed, for which purpose, and what is deliberately left untouched.
Two categories of technical information may be processed:
Device Details: Model, Android version, and system language. These keep the application stable across a wide range of hardware.
Usage Statistics: Aggregated, non-identifying records of which tools are opened and how frequently. They are reviewed solely to prioritise improvements.
No name, email address, telephone number, or account credentials are collected.
Every document operation — viewing, annotating, merging, splitting, converting, and scanning — is carried out on the device itself. Files are never uploaded to the publisher, and their contents are never read or stored on remote servers.
Removing the application or clearing its data deletes all locally cached files. Users are advised to keep independent backups.
Permissions are requested only where a corresponding feature requires them:
All Files Access: Needed to select documents stored in any folder on the device and to write processed results back to a chosen location.
Camera: Used only while capturing pages with the scanning tool.
Foreground Service: Runs the document monitor that reports newly saved PDF files.
Advertising and analytics partners that support the application may collect pseudonymous identifiers, including advertising IDs, under their own privacy policies, in order to deliver advertising and measure performance. Document contents are never made available to these partners.
Industry-standard safeguards protect the limited technical data described above. Because no identity records are held and no document copies are stored on a server, exposure is confined to a narrow set of non-personal metrics, which are retained only for as long as they serve the purposes described in this Policy.
This Policy may be revised to reflect changes in practice or in legal requirements. The current version is always published within the application, and a revision takes effect upon publication.
