DocMaster ("we", "our", or "the app") is a PDF scanner, editor, and converter application for Android. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
DocMaster operates entirely on your device. All documents, scanned images, PDFs, and files you create or edit remain on your device's local storage. No data is uploaded to any server.
The app requests camera access solely to scan documents. Images captured through the scanner are processed and stored locally on your device. Camera data is never transmitted to any external server or third party.
The app accesses your device storage to read, create, and save PDF files and images. All file operations are performed locally.
The app uses Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition to extract text from images. This processing happens entirely on your device. No images or extracted text are sent to Google's servers or any external service.
The app uses the following third-party components, all of which process data on-device:
Google ML Kit (on-device) — for OCR text recognition. Processes images locally without sending data to external servers.
Google Play In-App Updates — checks for app updates via the Google Play Store. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Since all data stays on your device, security is governed by your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.). The app supports AES-256 encryption for password-protecting PDF files you create.
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
