UNEARTHING JOHN DONE - A PLYMOUTH COLONY LATE COMER
BY STEVEN W. MORRISON
Presented at the 2012 Doane Family Reunion in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
In 2012 Steven W. Morrison researched John Done based solely upon original Plymouth Colony records. A total of 85 records were located which span the period of 1 January 1632/3 thru 1645 when Done departed to Nauset (now Eastham). It is hypothesized that Done may have arrived in the Plymouth Colony as the auditor of the English financiers. The paper also provided four recommendations for additional research by the Doane Family Association.
