Dr. Dnyaneshwar Babulal Shirode is an accomplished academician with over 21 years of experience in English language teaching, research, training, and academic administration. Currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English at M. U. College of Commerce, Pimpri, Pune, he has demonstrated consistent excellence in pedagogy, leadership, and institutional development. 

He holds a Ph.D. in English from Symbiosis International University, along with M.A., B.Ed., PGCTE, and is MH-SET qualified. His academic contributions include a Minor Research Project funded by Savitribai Phule Pune University, publication of 1 book, 5 self-learning materials for distance learners, and publication of 25 research papers. 

Dr. Shirode has made significant contributions as a Cambridge-certified Oral Examiner, and as a reviewer for international platforms, including the Scopus-indexed Journal of Teaching English with Technology, the International Conference on Education, Training and Informatics (ICETI), USA, and the ELTAI International Conference. He has presented 17 research papers at various international and national forums and has served as a resource person in over 40 academic events. 

His leadership roles include serving as NAAC and IQAC Coordinator, NSS Programme Officer, Student Development Officer, M. Com. Coordinator, and College Nodal Officer for AISHE. As a Teachers’ Representative on the College Development Committee (CDC) and Staff Representative on the College Management Committee (CMC), he has played a pivotal role in institutional governance. He also serves as the Chief Editor of the College Magazine. 

Dr. Shirode is actively involved in academic policymaking and curriculum design, having served as a Board of Studies member for Balbharati (Maharashtra), Government College of Engineering, Karad, and Indira University, Pune. He is an Executive Member of ELTAI (Pune Chapter) and has been associated with APACALL and ISEL. 

A highly sought-after trainer, he has conducted numerous training programs in Business Communication, Soft Skills, and English Language Proficiency for leading corporates like Wipro, Cognizant, Dr. Reddy’s, Praj Industries, and for prestigious institutions such as Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Fergusson College, and Modern College. 

Driven by a passion for effective English teaching and lifelong learning, Dr. Shirode continues to inspire students, train educators, and contribute to the advancement of English language education in India.
