Effective Date: August 22, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how DMV Driver Permit Test collects, uses, and protects your data. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. User Consent
By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. A Note About Children
This app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that data has been collected from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
3. A Note to Users Outside of the United States
If you use the app from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries.
4. Types of Data We Collect
We may collect app and device data such as device model, operating system, language, state selection, usage events, crash diagnostics, and advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID). We do not collect personally identifiable data unless you voluntarily submit it (for example, via feedback or support email).
5. How We Use Your Data
We use data to provide and improve the app, personalize content, store preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud, and maintain security. We do not sell or rent your data. We may use third-party services such as Google AdMob to display advertisements in the app. These services may process information about your device and usage patterns, including IP address, advertising ID, and interaction with ads. Where available, Google may use this data to personalize ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.
6. Disclosure of Your Data
We do not share your data except (a) with service providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards, (b) as required by law, or (c) to protect the security and integrity of the app.
7. Third-Party SDKs and Services
We use Google AdMob (ads), Firebase Analytics (usage analytics), and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). These partners may receive device identifiers, IP address, app interactions (for example, screens viewed, taps), and crash or performance data. Please refer to their privacy policies for details. On Android, Google Play services may access the device’s GAID for ads/analytics controls.
8. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
We offer in-app subscriptions. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not store your payment card details. We validate purchase receipts and manage entitlements using a third-party service (Qonversion). We keep transaction identifiers and receipt data as needed to provide access, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Manage or cancel:
• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
9. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking Choices
Personalized ads are shown only where permitted by your device settings and, where required, your consent.
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (you can also reset your Advertising ID).
• Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads) to reset your Advertising ID (GAID) and manage ad personalization.
In regions that require it (e.g., EEA/UK), we present a consent prompt (ATT on iOS, Google UMP on Android). You can change your choices at any time in the app’s Settings or by contacting us.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
11. California Privacy (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell personal information. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising when you enable personalized ads. California residents can request to opt out of such sharing by contacting us with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.
12. Legal Bases (GDPR/EEA/UK)
We process personal data under the following legal bases: (a) contract — to provide the app, purchases, and subscriptions; (b) legitimate interests — analytics, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and service improvement; and (c) consent — for personalized advertising where required.
13. Data Retention
We retain purchase and entitlement data for as long as your access is active and as required for accounting and legal purposes; analytics and crash data for up to 26 months; and preferences until you delete the app or reset them. We may keep data longer where required by law.
14. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and restricted access. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
15. International Transfers
We and our service providers may process your data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
16. Enforcement
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, please contact us using the information below.
17. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to this policy will be governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the laws of the State of New Jersey.
18. Contact Information
For questions or requests, contact: teamof3andd@gmail.com
19. External Links to Official Manuals (Links Only)
The app provides links only to official driver manuals hosted on third-party websites (e.g., state DMV/DOT). We do not host, store, cache, or reproduce these manuals. When you open a link, you leave our app and your use of that site is governed by the third party’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of external sites.
20. Attribution & No Affiliation
References to “Driver Manual” point to official government resources. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. All trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners. In case of discrepancies, the official manual on the source website prevails.
21. Copyright and Takedown
If you are a rights holder and believe a link in the app infringes your rights or is inappropriate, contact teamof3andd@gmail.com with the subject “Takedown request,” including the URL, a description, and proof of rights. We will review and, if appropriate, remove the link.
22. Analytics for Link Clicks
We may record non-identifying analytics when a manual link is opened (e.g., state code, timestamp, basic device information) to improve link quality and detect broken URLs. We do not collect the contents of the manual and do not combine this event with personally identifying information.
23. Withdrawal of Consent
If you have previously agreed to the use of your personal data for personalized advertising, you can withdraw your consent at any time.
To do so, please contact us at [3anddteam@gmail.com], revisit this Privacy Policy page to update your preferences, or reset your consent by clearing the app data or reinstalling the app, which will show the consent form again.
After withdrawing consent, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your interests.
24. Explanation for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland
This app uses Google AdMob to serve ads. In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before showing personalized ads.
If you change your mind, you can withdraw your consent by contacting us or by following the instructions above.
25. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the app after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
