I received my PhD from Boston University in 2005 working under Robert L. Devaney in Complex Dynamics.
My current research spans a few mathematical areas:
Complex Dynamics
Text Mining and Stylometry - Principally interested in addressing questions of authorship
Popular Culture uses of Mathematics - Specifically, uses of "advanced" mathematics in early 20th century pulp publications
Mathematics Pedagogy
Other Stuff:
I enjoy teaching, running, playing Dungeons & Dragons, listening to metal/ska/punk, and thinking about cats
