I have taught at St. Lawrence University since 2009. In 2025, I was honored by the senior class as the Owen D. Young Outstanding Faculty Member.
My current research spans a few mathematical areas:
Complex Dynamics
Text Mining and Stylometry - Principally interested in addressing questions of authorship
Popular Culture uses of Mathematics - Specifically, uses of "advanced" mathematics in early 20th century pulp publications
Mathematics Pedagogy
Other Stuff:
I enjoy teaching, running, playing Dungeons & Dragons, listening to metal/ska/punk, Transformers, and thinking about cats
I (currently) have 20 tattoos, all mathematically themed
