DARAGA MUNICIPAL LIBRARY

Daraga Municipal Library is currently under the Legislative Department, Office of the Vice-Mayor. It is headed by a licensed librarian with 2 personnel under plantilla, and 10 job orders. Our library is recognized and affiliated with the Public Libraries Division of the National Library of the Philippines. We develop our resources through book allocations from NLP and local purchases.
The Daraga Municipal Library is located at the fourth (4th) floor right wing of the Municipal Hall Building. Open to the public Monday thru Friday from 8:00 -5:00 pm. No Noon break. Only those with ID cards (any kind of ID) shall be allowed to enter and read materials. The Library adopts the open-shelf system and uses the Dewey Decimal Classification System.
MANDATE
Daraga Municipal Library is mandated to deliver programs and services meeting the lifelong learning, information and educational needs of the community not only through books but also with the use of modern technology.

Continually provide free and equitable access to varied library services which meet the changing needs of the public it serves.

A well-recognized public library where clientele can find outstanding professional services such as reference assistance, useful and accurate information; quality reading materials and access to modern technology.
