Shuoling Liu is the Chief Information Officer, Head of Institute of Innovation, Executive Chairman of FinTech Technology Committee, and Managing Director at E Fund. He is currently a PhD student at HKUST, mentored by the distinguished Professor Yang Qiang. He is also a FinTech Committee member of Asset Management Association of China (AMAC) and a member of Quantitative Investment Committee of Investment Technology League (ITL). His research interest includes algorithmic trading, AI-based bond default prediction, and big-data-based ESG research. He is the Chairman of the Program Committee of FinLLM 2023@IJCAI, DMF 2023@ICDM, and DMF 2024@ICDM. He is also the Executive Lead Editor of Theories and Applications of Financial Large Models special issue in Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering (FITEE), one of the transactions of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). He was awarded the second prize of the Annual FinTech Development by the People's Bank of China in 2020, 2022 &2023 and the first prize in 2023 for his research on integrated investment research platform. He holds more than 10 FinTech-related patents.
Liyuan Chen is the Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of FinTech Technology Committee of E Fund. She is a senior executive with more than 10 years of experience in business and technology. She is currently a PhD student at Tsinghua University. She was the Program Chair of FinLLM 2023@IJCAI, DMF 2023@ICDM, and DMF 2024@ICDM. She is also Guest Editor of Theories and Applications of Financial Large Models special issue in Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering (FITEE), one of the transactions of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). She has been committed to promoting the application of financial technology and made great contributions of the digital intelligence level of E Fund as well as the industry. She leads the FinTech Sector of E Fund, whose scientific researches has been transformed into high-profit productivities and publications in top-tier conferences.
Yue Cui is a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Tongyi Lab, Alibaba Group. She received her PhD degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is interested in designing and evaluating data science and AI systems that are human-centric and oriented toward social good. Her current research objective is to enhance the capabilities of large language models (LLMs) to support complex reasoning and assist with daily tasks. She has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers in top-tier conferences and journals, including ACL, KDD, WWW, VLDB, ICDE, TOIS etc. She is the Program Chair of DMF'23 and DMF'24@ICDM. She serves as the Program Committee member and reviewer for many top-tier conferences and journals, including ICML, KDD, ICDE, TKDE, CIKM etc.
Qiang Yang is the Director of PolyU Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer of the University, and half-time Chair Professor of AI in the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. He had been a faculty member and Chair Professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology between 2001 and 2023, a Professor at Simon Fraser University and Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo in Canada between 1989 and 2001. He is a fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Royal Society of Canada (RSC) and a fellow of IEEE, ACM, AAAI, AAAS, IAPR and CAAI. He was the President of IJCAI between 2019 and 2021 and the President of Hong Kong Society of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics(HKSAIR). He was the Founding Editor in Chief of the ACM Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Technology (ACM TIST) and the Founding Editor in Chief of IEEE Transactions on Big Data (IEEE TBD). He is also active in industrial practice: he was the founding director of Huawei Noah’s Ark Lab, former Chief Technology Advisor at WeChat (2015-2018),a co-founder of 4th Paradigm Technology Ltd. (HKex 06682) and a Former Chief AI Officer at WeBank (2018-2025). He received the ACM SIGKDD Distinguished Service Award and the University of Maryland, Department of Computer Science Alumni Hall of Fame in 2017 and IJCAI Distinguished Service Award In 2023. His research interests are artificial intelligence, machine learning, federated learning, transfer learning, case-based reasoning and planning.
