I am Dillon MacPherson, a professional game designer and longtime Dungeon Master based out of Vancouver, BC. I received a diploma in game art and design from the Art Institute of Vancouver, and have worked for eight years in the video game industry on franchises such as Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Dead Rising.
In my free time I make video games, and developed homebrew supplemental content for use in my various campaigns. Over the past year I’ve been working with a small team on a 5th Edition supplement, under the open gaming license, called FAERIE FIRE. This project features art and rules for several new creatures and items, with plans for player classes, races, and a module.
Table top RPGs have been a lifelong passion of mine; I’m thrilled to work with my players to bring them the most immersive and compelling game experiences possible, and I love brainstorming new mechanics—both on my own and in collaboration with others.
As a Dungeon Master I enjoy world-building, developing mechanics and working with my players to bring them the most satisfying, character-driven experiences possible. My experience isn’t just limited to D&D, either: Pathfinder, Fate, the Fantasy Flight Star Wars System, Mongooses’ Traveller, and many other systems have helped round out my understanding of game mechanics and system design.
