OUR TEAM

Abby DeMarkey, M.Ed., Co-Founder & Senior Counselor

Abby is a passionate educator and proud First Generation college graduate. She is dedicated to helping students and families achieve their college and career dreams. A native of Stamford, CT, Abby has taught 7-12th grade social studies at public, private, and elite college preparatory high schools across the country, including serving as senior class faculty advisor. She also has professional experience in higher education administration, student success, career services, and admissions, having worked at Tufts University, Salem State University, and Manhattanville University. Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in the Social Sciences from Eastern Connecticut State University, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Salem State University, and is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership at Manhattanville University.

Sam Lim, M.Ed., Co-Founder & Senior Counselor

Sam is an innovative higher education professional passionate about helping students achieve their college and career goals, regardless of circumstances. They bring a eight professional experience across K-12 and higher education. As a former high school teacher and instructional coach, and now a senior college administrator, they understand the ins-and-outs of navigating the post-secondary and higher education environment. Sam has worked at Brown University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Massachusetts Boston, Salem State University, and SUNY Westchester. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Languages & Literatures from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Higher Education in Student Affairs from Salem State University, and is a Doctor of Education (EdD) student in the Higher Education Administration program at The University of Southern Mississippi.
