Thank you for visiting DK Research Group named as Computational and Data Science Lab: Energy Materials.

Our group has been established at 2019 and  a part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kyung Hee University, being designing new energy-related materials to be a better life of human beings utilizing computational science and experimental validations.

As society and technology have been complex, energy requirements rapidly increase to meet the demand for consumer electronic devices such as smart phones and laptop computers. Recently, a growing demand for large-scale energy storage applications, e.g., electric vehicle and energy storage systems, requires further performance improvement of lithium-ion (or sodium/potassium-ion batteries) batteries and development of alternative energy storage technologies. Accordingly, I think that our group's research directions based on multiscale energy material design combined computational science and experimental validations will provide systematic and rational solutions to overcome energy-density limitations with cycle-life properties and develop energy-related materials.
