Where to find Between the Pages

About Between the Pages

She thought she was reading the book. She never considered that the book might be reading her.

A mysterious unmarked book hidden inside a forgotten bookstore should have been nothing more than a curiosity. Instead, its blank pages begin writing themselves—and they know things about her that no book should know.

Then she meets De’Mere. Seductive, arrogant, dangerous, and trapped within the pages for centuries, he knows far more about her than he should. Her blood awakened the book. Her imagination gives its worlds life. And the more she reads, the thinner the boundary between fiction and reality becomes.

As memories disappear and reality begins bleeding into the worlds between the pages, one truth becomes impossible to ignore: De’Mere needs her to set him free.

But somewhere along the way, his plan changes.

Because the woman who was supposed to be his escape is becoming the one thing he can't imagine leaving behind.

Is De’Mere trying to escape his prison... or is she beginning to choose it as her own?

One gave the world imagination. The other had centuries to decide what to do with it.

About the Author

D.K. De’Mere writes stories for readers who have looked at a morally questionable character and thought, Well... hear me out.

His debut novel, Between the Pages, is the first installment in The Bookbound Series, where demons have questionable morals, reality has questionable boundaries, and falling in love may be considerably more dangerous than simply closing the book.

He writes dark paranormal romance filled with psychological twists, supernatural danger, obsession, dark humor, and characters who probably shouldn't be trusted—although they'll be offended if you point that out.

Between the Pages releases October 31, 2026.

Consider this your warning. Read responsibly. Or don't. De’Mere certainly wouldn't.
