WHO IS DJ LAXTON?

DJ Laxton, born Tapiwa Laxton Chiota, is a versatile and dynamic DJ whose passion for music has been the driving force behind his journey. With a sound that spans Hip Hop, RnB, Deep House, Gospel, Afro Tech, Afro House, EDM and more, DJ Laxton brings the party to every event, creating unforgettable experiences stemming from his diverse sonic palette.

Origins and Backstory.

DJ Laxton’s love for music began at a young age. His earliest memory of falling in love with DJing was when he touched an old-school P.A. system with classic CDJs at a friend’s house. That moment sparked a dream that would later define his life. Inspired by his late uncle, “The Real Laxton,” who was also a DJ, Laxton embraced the name and legacy, pushing himself to hone his craft and make his mark in the industry.

With the encouragement of his best friend, RonK04, DJ Laxton leapt into the professional scene. In 2015, he landed his first gig at a street hip-hop tour in Harare, where he delivered an electrifying performance that solidified his confidence and set the stage for his future success.
