Djarra has focused extensively on adaptation planning for climate change, pursuing an alternative horizontal methodology for community led adaptation solutions. His focus is empowering communities to lead decision making in responding to the challenges of climate change with environmental and cultural sovereignty respected, prioritised and promoted.
Djarra has extensive experience in negotiating, developing and implementing public sector policy, strategies and guidelines that ensure real investment in improving engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. He is an experienced coordinator and contributor for organisational Stretch Reconciliation Action Plans. This gives him unique insight and expertise to guide organisations in their reconciliation journey.
