In the lower left there appears to be volume bars for each app in the volume mixer; these numbers represent a percentage of the Master volume value at the top. To "reset" an app to the master volume value, simply drag it to 100. No longer do you have to eyeball where the master volume is using the mixer!

In Windows 10, if you click on the speaker icon, the volume control slider opens. You have to right-click on the speaker icon to see the following menu:Select Open Volume mixer to open it.

Here you can change the volume for individual applications. In Windows 7 and Windows 8, this mixer effectively lets you control the volume for each application separately. Not necessarily. However, mixer settings are complicated and in some cases extremely confusing. Let me suggest downloading their MP4 video here: Drivers/Downloads | MACKIE which may help clarify the situation.

"The Avid application could not configure the windows Audio Mixer. Windows audio will not function properly until you Manually configure the windows Audio Mixer. To Manually configure the windows audio mixer use the sound card configuration settings located in the settings window."

Wow thanks so much. I put the EA app into offline mode and like magic the volume would actually save my changes in the volume mixer. Never seen a game do that before, not even Dead Space 2 which I also played through the EA app. I wonder how a launching application can do that?

Your question lacked an important detail: are you using multiple monitors and wanting to have a full-screen mixer on a different monitor from the Edit/Arranger window? If that's what you're asking, you can certainly do that. This is the way I always work in S1. As in the pic in jasonwilmans' answer below, click the 'Detach' button. This makes the mixer a separate window. You can then drag it to your second monitor and maximize it. If you create a template with that arrangement, it would effectively be the default, at least for any song you base on that template. You could also maximize it on the one screen if you only have one, but you'll be switching between them a lot.

This is a very good request and the issue is the same on Windows 10 as well. Most commenters here don't realize that the detached mixer window is not actually a "window" in the operating system sense. The whole Studio One is just one window as far as the OS is concerned. My workflow in Reason was/is to place the sequencer and mixer on separate virtual desktops so I can quickly switch between them on a keyboard (ctrl+win+left/right on Windows, ctrl+left/right on a Mac). Here's how it works with Reason (and as I understand from OP in Logic as well). You can't do this in S1 at the moment which is a shame.

Example: It is not possible to mix a headset plus an audio input with a Skype call and listen to the combined result. Usually its only possible, to use more than one device at a time in a software application (e. g. the Mic headset in Skype, Game Sound). Especially internet browsers dont provide a audio device selection, they are limited to the default windows audio device.

I am trying to write a C# code that outputs the current audio output level from each of the windows application accessing the sound output (as shown with constantly changing green bars of the Volume mixer).

My new Holland 352 mixer I picked up has several windows in the tank that are cracked. Our other one has one like that and its never been a problem. I always worry it will blow out and then ill have a mess to clean up or worse yet ill be on the road and now have a way to stop it from leaking out. Anyway I am thinking of swapping some out with a parts machine I have. My worry is that old rubber trim is harder than duck lips and I don't think I can reuse it without cracking the new glass or not getting it in all the way and then the weight will blow it out for sure because the seal isn't seated in. I don't see a price online for this gasket but im sure its high. Can you buy this material for installing thin glass in sheetmetal? I have looked online and haven't found much. I also just thought of saying the heck with it and bolting a piece of plexi glass in with some rtv from the inside and calling it a day. Anyone have any experience repairing these windows? Maybe I should just keep using it with the cracks and not worry about it

Yah the one I looked up was 40.37 but didn't give a price on the gasket. So that's over $80 each. I have 4 of the 6 windows cracked. That's $320. Now you can see why I am looking for ideas. I ordered a piece of 1/8'' lexan for $30 that if it works I could cut out all 6 windows from it. If it doesn't work out I will use it on something else. As for the gasket material I found 25' on ebay for $40, but I really am not sure if it will make the radius. One add says min 15'' radius and the others don't specify. Again I have a parts grinder with all good windows but I doubt I would be able to re use that old stiff gasket. Thanks guys for the input.

All 3 of my grinders all have plastic from the factory. I don't think these were ever glass. They all are scratched. My best one has scales so I don't use the windows anyway other than just to take a peak. As far as I know they are some sort of harder plastic. I think it just gets sunlight beat and they get hard and crack. I could be wrong. I realize I did refer to them as glass on my original post.

Window is still nice when your loading the grinder easier to look up that window when your at the loading auger than run around back to look at the scales! Then again were grinding straight corn anyhow and all goes in a bin into tmr mixer with scales!

I wouldn't be too worried about reusing old gasket if you cant find new. It will be stiffer probably than new but i have taken cab windows out and put back in successfully using old gaskets. Would be a good idea to have a heat lamp or heat gun on em now n then as you do it to keep em softer? If you have a heated shop maybe not as much a concern

Everything I've tried is close to that but not quite: The Mixer in the Window menu (command+2) opens multiple mixer Windows. I've also tried using the "Proj" button in my Faderport, but does something baffling: it opens the session window but not expanded to fill the whole window. That one almost works, if I could open it in a maximized state.

So what I do is on Screenset 1, I keep both the Main (Arrange) window and the Mixer open full-size, and use CMD and the tilde key to switch between them. This key command switches between all open windows of any application or the Finder, system-wide, just as CMD-Tab switches between applications, and is instant with no delay or screen redraw.

That is the ticket! Set up the Main window and Mixer to my liking, full size, and locking Screenset 1, so I can always go back to it and not lose any toolbar customizations, etc. The system shortcut to switch windows is exactly what I need.

Pulse audio plugin comes builtin in manjaro, i have it but it have a volume mixer only for input output devices like mic and headphones, not for individual apps. I want mixer which can change volumes seperately for each apps 2351a5e196
