below are some tips to make you a great player and teamate in regular bedwars games!
Make sure not to collect the generator when your teammates aren't near the generator. Splitting is when you collect the iron in the generator with all teammates present. Every single teammate gets an entirety of the iron. Ping the generator to ask for a split, your teammates may let you take the generator. It is best to split unless you really need to take the generator (e.g. someone is rushing your bed).
One tap ores is very similar to splitting. Except with the ores that spawn near your bed at the front of your main base. Leaving your ores one tap is to make sure when your teammates tp, or come back to base, it is easier to break, and all teammates get a fair share of the iron. (Note: The one the breaks the ores get the diamonds and emeralds inside)
Building isn’t just a flashy skill — it’s essential for survival and strategy
Use blocks to gain height advantage, defend faster, and move around the map more efficiently. If an enemy is building above you from a distance, back up and build up to meet them. Don’t let them control the high ground. Fast building and bridging help you gather resources quicker and pressure opponents early. Whether you’re attacking, defending, escaping, or clutching, building gives you flexibility in every scenario.
Sometimes, backing off is the smartest move you can make.
When being chased, build walls or towers behind/above you to block arrows and attacks. Use tools like pearls or fireballs to create distance or reposition — fireballs can even boost you away if timed right. Avoid taking damage while low health (bows, fireballs, fall damage) as it interrupts natural healing (which takes 5 seconds). Running away with emeralds, diamonds, or iron prevents the enemy from getting stronger. A smart escape can distract your enemies, giving teammates time to push beds, take over mid, or recover.
Pearls are one of the most powerful tools in your inventory — use them wisely.
Great for escaping, chasing, or turning the tide in team fights. Pearl into a teammate’s fight to support them or surprise an enemy by teleporting behind them. In coordinated rushes, pearls can break stalemates and secure crucial plays. Use pearls not just reactively, but proactively — plan plays around them.
Third partying is a hated but essential move.
Helping your teammates is a huge deal, if they are losing a fight, it is best to go in and save them. Make sure to cover for teammates that have a lot of loot. Body blocking is also a good strategy to prevent your teammate from getting damaged on the way to recall or to get back to base.
