There are two printers available at DIY Lab.
We print during the working hours and given slots only. There are two slots (AN & FN) available each day for two printers. FN means 9.00AM-12.00PM and AN means 2.00PM-5.00PM.
Issues might arise at any point during the print and your print might get delayed as well.
Do not ask for a print at the last minute or on emergency basis. In such cases coordinate with the Lab staff and cooperate, but approval of PIC of DIY lab is must.
If you have more than one file to print, then fill up the slot allocation form for each file again.
Your model must be smaller than 250 mm X 250 mm X 250 mm.
Materials available: PLA, ABS
Here is a step by step process to get your 3D print done:
Mail to Prof. Vikranth Racherla, PIC of DIY Lab and put diylab.iitkgp@gmail.com, your referee's mail, kallol@iitkgp.ac.in, sourabh@iitkgp.ac.in in CC. Do not forward the mail.
Mail should contain your .stl type file, desired infill density(15%-100%) that is the strength of the model.
Once you got the approval, fill up the below slot allocation form for each file.
After that check the slot allocation and printing status from the response sheet given below.
Once the status is "Printed", collect your model.
