Our Story

Our journey began with a storm and a fallen tree. In autumn 2024, our founder Roger Joyner watched as a magnificent 150-year-old tree in his garden came crashing down during a violent storm, narrowly missing his home.

This near-miss became a moment of clarity for Roger. As he stood looking at the fallen giant that had weathered a century and a half of changing climate, he realized he needed to take meaningful action to combat climate change - not just for himself, but for future generations.

Roger had already been experimenting with a DIY biogas digester in his own garden, using food scraps and garden waste to create cooking gas and nutrient-rich fertilizer. Seeing firsthand how this simple technology reduced his carbon footprint while providing practical benefits, he knew he had found his calling.
