Nazareth Primary School joyfully celebrated the festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm on 24th September 2025. The celebration began with an invocation of God’s presence, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness.
As the lamp was lit, the school choir set a devotional tone by singing the hymn "Light of the World." Prayers were then offered, seeking blessings for peace, harmony, and the well-being of all.
The choir continued the celebration with a lively festive song titled “Diwali Roshni Wali,” uplifting the spirit of the festival.
A video presentation was shown to highlight the cultural and spiritual significance of the five days of Diwali. This was followed by a brief but impactful introduction on the importance of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali, emphasizing the need to protect our environment by avoiding firecrackers and using sustainable decorations.
The message of compassion and giving was beautifully conveyed through a thought-provoking skit titled “The Light of Diwali.” The performance encouraged everyone to share joy, love and gifts with the less fortunate, reminding all of the deeper meaning behind the celebrations.
The energy and vibrance of the occasion were further elevated by a dynamic dance performance by the students, set to traditional Diwali songs, which was met with enthusiastic applause.
The event concluded with a heartfelt address by Sr. Stella Mary, who inspired the students to celebrate Diwali with love, care, and responsibility. Finally, the program came to a close with warm Diwali greetings, spreading festive cheer to all present.
