DivyaMala ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DivyaMala Android application. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy details our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our application.
DivyaMala is an offline-first application.
Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical location.
Chanting Data: All data regarding your mantra profiles, session logs, counting statistics, and settings preferences is stored locally on your device in a private SQLite database (Room) and local Preferences (DataStore). We do not have access to this data, nor do we transfer it to any external servers.
To provide the premium features of DivyaMala, the app may request the following device permissions:
Draw Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): This permission is required to display the floating mini counter bubble overlay on your screen. This allows you to count chants while using other apps. We do not read, log, or track any content on your screen.
Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used on Android 13+ to display the ongoing japa counter notifications in your notification drawer.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Used to maintain the background count notification and floating bubble window lifecycle, ensuring the app is not terminated mid-session by the operating system.
The application does not integrate with third-party tracking SDKs, analytics, or advertising platforms that collect user information.
Because our application does not collect any personal information, it is safe for users of all ages, including children.
