# Divine Status — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Divine Status mobile application ("Divine Status", the "App", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
## 1. About Divine Status
Divine Status provides devotional images, short-form devotional videos (reels), charging-screen animations, saved-content features, downloads, sharing tools, notifications, and related devotional experiences. Some features are free and others require a Divine Status Pro subscription.
The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Its devotional content is provided for inspiration and general informational or entertainment purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or religious advice.
### Content transparency
Some devotional artwork, images, animations or other media in Divine Status may be created or enhanced using generative tools. Content is selected and reviewed before publication. Such media is devotional or artistic content and should not be understood as an authentic historical photograph or record.
## 2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are under the age required to consent to digital services in your country, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you.
## 3. App permissions and device features
Some features require device permissions:
- **Display over other apps:** required on supported Android devices to show the selected charging animation when the device is connected to power.
- **Notifications:** used, with your permission, to inform you about new devotional content and important app updates.
- **Photos or media access:** requested only when needed to save an image or reel to your device, subject to your device and operating-system settings.
- **Battery status:** used to detect charging state and display charging-related information.
You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
## 4. Divine Status Pro subscriptions
Divine Status may offer Monthly Pro and Annual Pro subscriptions. Available plans, prices, currencies, free-trial periods, taxes, and renewal terms are displayed in the App and confirmed by Google Play or the applicable app store before purchase.
By purchasing a subscription:
- payment is charged through your app-store account;
- any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends;
- the subscription renews automatically for the applicable billing period unless cancelled before renewal;
- you can manage or cancel the subscription through your app-store subscription settings; and
- deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.
Prices and available plans may change. Any change will apply in accordance with app-store rules and applicable law. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment processing are governed by the policies of Google Play or the applicable app store.
If you reinstall the App or change devices, use **Restore Purchases** while signed into the same app-store account. Restoration depends on the purchase records supplied by the applicable store.
## 5. Content and intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, images, videos, animations, audio, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Divine Status and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App and its features. Where the App provides a download or share function, you may use the resulting content for personal, non-commercial sharing through that function.
You may not:
- sell, sublicense, redistribute, scrape, or commercially exploit App content;
- remove watermarks, branding, copyright notices, or technical protections;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use automated systems to access the App or overload its services;
- use the App or its content unlawfully, deceptively, offensively, or in a way that infringes another person’s rights; or
- interfere with the App’s operation, security, or other users.
## 6. Saved items, downloads, and sharing
The App may let you save favourites within the App, download media to your device, or open your device’s share sheet. You are responsible for how you use or distribute downloaded or shared material and for complying with applicable laws and third-party platform rules.
Downloaded files may remain on your device after you uninstall the App. Content availability may change, and previously available content may be corrected, replaced, or removed.
## 7. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services for functions such as hosting, analytics, notifications, purchases, app distribution, and sharing. These services may include Google Play, RevenueCat, Supabase, PostHog, Expo, Meta/Facebook technologies, Cloudflare, and your device’s sharing applications.
Your use of third-party services is also subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
## 8. Updates and availability
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App, including content, free features, Pro benefits, or device compatibility. Some updates may be required for continued use, security, or compatibility.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or operating-system version.
## 9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the App, infringe rights, threaten the App’s security, or where required by law. You may stop using the App at any time. Stopping use or deleting the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.
## 10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim warranties that are not expressly required by applicable law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
## 11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Divine Status and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any mandatory consumer rights.
## 12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, our practices, legal requirements, or third-party services. We will update the “Last updated” date and may provide an in-app notice when a change is material. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
## 13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer law.
