Biblical Foundation

  1. Now when Elisha had fallen sick with the illness of which he was to die, Joash king of Israel went down to him and wept before him, crying, “My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” 15 And Elisha said to him, “Take a bow and arrows.” So he took a bow and arrows. 16 Then he said to the king of Israel, “Draw the bow,” and he drew it. And Elisha laid his hands on the king's hands.17 And he said, “Open the window eastward,” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot,” and he shot. And he said, “The Lord's arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Syria! For you shall fight the Syrians in Aphek until you have made an end of them.” 18 And he said, “Take the arrows,” and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground with them.” And he struck three times and stopped. 19 Then the man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had made an end of it, but now you will strike down Syria only three times.” - 2 Kings 13:14-19

  1. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” 9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions ? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. - Ephesians 4:7-16

Educational Distinctives

  • Identification - We Believe That Learning Starts with Discovery

      • Our educational model seeks to not only inform students about general principles but to enable them to discover their own unique wiring and how Christ has designed them to lead. We are committed to helping students identify their personal calling, unique strengths and gifts, and to discern what opportunities Christ has given them to be ambassadors for Him. (Acts 4:36; Acts 6:1-4)

  • Instruction - We Believe That Great Leadership Is Grounded In Biblical Truth

      • The Bible must be the foundation of our theology and practice. Our desire is to form leaders who submit to the scripture as the primary standard and evaluator of their leadership. We will equip students with the tools to engage in thorough biblical archeology to unearth the depth of truth and apply those truths in every aspect of their life and leadership. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:5-8 )

  • Impartation - We Believe That Leadership Development Is Uniquely Relational

      • Christianity at its core is highly relational and we believe developing christian leaders is no different. By providing mentors and coaches, we hope that every student will not just gain greater understanding but experience heart transformation during their time in the program. Our desire is that students won’t just be able to do the work of Christ but also possess the heart of Christ. (Mark 3:13-15; Acts 4:13; Romans 1:11-12)

  • Internship - We Believe That Education Should Not Just Be Informative But Experiential

      • Just as Jesus gave His disciples opportunities to preach and serve in order for them to grow, we are committed to giving our students opportunities to grow on the go. Through providing moments of exposure and experience, our students will be able to grow in their leadership confidence and competence as well as their ability to work in a team environment. (Luke 10:1-3, 17-20; 1 Timothy 1:3-5)
