Dr. Kalani Lukela Raphael
Dr. Kalani Lukela Raphael is an adult nephrologist and Professor of Internal Medicine at University of Utah. Born and raised in Hawai'i, Dr. Raphael attended the University of Hawai'i John A. Burns School of Medicine before completing his residency and fellowship training at University of Utah. Dr. Raphael is a passionate advocate for indigenous students serving as co-leader of the Haumana 'o Pasifika Program at University of Utah and a mentor for Native American students in the Native American Research Internship program. Both programs are designed to help students navigate achieve their goals of attending post-baccalaureate education in health and medicine.

Faith Bowman is a current Biochemistry Graduate Student in the Summers-Holland Lab here at the University of Utah. She was the former president of the University of Utah Health Science's SACNAS chapter, and will be presenting a keynote highlighting her personal journey in STEM.
