The mission of Menomini yoU is simple, we exist to dedicate our time, effort, and energy to the revitalization and renormalization of the Menomini language and lifeways. Omāēqnomenēw-wēqnaesen (the Menomini language) is a distinct Algonquin language that has been utilized by our Menomini people for thousands of years to understand and interact with the world around us, and express our ideas, thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and emotions.

Mellon Foundation, and other partners, working to make an important and lasting contribution to our cultural landscape by elevating the stories and places of African American achievement and activism.
