App Name: DiveLogiX (Scuba Dive Logbook)

Thank you for using DiveLogiX, a diver-focused logbook for recording dive details (site, date, depth, duration, gases, buddies, notes) and optionally backing up your data to iCloud. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This document explains what data the app does/does not collect, how it’s handled, and how to reach us.

Data Collection and Use

We believe in data minimalism.

We do not:

• Collect or transmit your personal data to our own servers

• Use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs

• Require login or account creation with us

• Access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone

What the app stores:

• Dive logs you enter (e.g., site, date, depth, duration, gases, buddy names, notes)

• Optional certification records you enter (e.g., agency, instructor, number)

By default, all data is stored locally on your device. You control what you enter and can delete entries at any time.

Optional iCloud Sync (CloudKit)

If you enable “Back up to iCloud (CloudKit)” in Settings, DiveLogiX saves a copy of your data to your private iCloud database using Apple’s CloudKit.

• This uses your Apple ID and iCloud account; the developer does not receive your data.

• Data is synced between your devices signed into the same Apple ID.

• You can turn iCloud off at any time from the in-app toggle.

• Managing/deleting iCloud data can be done via iOS Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ iCloud, or by deleting your entries in-app.

Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

CSV Export (Your Choice to Share)

The app lets you export your logs as CSV files for your own use. When you export or share a file, it leaves the app and is then handled by the destination you choose (e.g., Files, Mail, AirDrop). Please consider where you store and share these files.

App Functionality and Offline Use

DiveLogiX works offline. An internet connection is only needed for iCloud sync (if enabled) and for sharing/exporting to online destinations.

Third-Party Services

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit (optional): Used only for backups/sync when you enable it.

• No analytics, ads, or other third-party SDKs are integrated.

We do not operate our own servers for this app.

Your Controls

• Enable/disable iCloud: In-app toggle.

• Edit/Delete entries: Remove any dive or certification from within the app.

• Delete app data: Deleting the app removes local data from your device.

• Manage iCloud data: Use iOS iCloud settings, or delete entries in the app while iCloud is enabled.

Children’s Privacy

DiveLogiX does not target children and does not collect personal data. Parents/guardians should supervise device use and sharing of exported files.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. If you’re concerned about changes, please check this page periodically.
