Is your club struggling? Lance was instrumental in building his home club, Renaissance Speakers to 95 members and the #4 Club in Toastmasters International. He will share actions you can use to create a successful dynamic club culture, build membership, handle difficult people, and get the show on the road!
Lance Miller is an award-winning speaker and trainer. He has delivered over 5,000 speeches in over 60 countries on public speaking, leadership and overcoming failure and adversity. His real-life experience brings fun, lively and entertaining presentations to the podium. Lessons of leadership, integrity, responsibility and honesty are the Hallmark of his messages. He is a member of the National Speakers Association, Rotary International and Toastmasters International. In 2005 he emerged from a field of 40,000 contestants from 110 countries to win the title of Toastmaster’s World Champion of Public Speaking.
Lance is the CEO of TerraX LLC, providing sustainable products and technologies to the agriculture, commercial, industrial and marine markets. His business experience spans serving as an executive with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, Nestle & Anheuser Busch to developing sales and marketing programs across 8 different industries and completing 5 new business start-ups.

Do you want your club to be successful? Of course you do. The goal of any Toastmasters club is to have a happy, healthy, vibrant club. But a goal without a plan is just a dream. In this session, Laura will have you look at the Moments of Truth and the Club Success Plan to identify your club's challenges and opportunities and create a plan to help your club be successful this year.
Laura joined Toastmasters in January of 2015. She has held all club officer roles. She has held a number of district roles, including Division Director, Club Growth Director and was our District Director last year. Laura is no stranger to training. Since joining Toastmasters, she has trained on Growing Club Membership, Building a Healthy Team, Creating a Quality Club, Leading the Club to Success, and has led a number of officer breakout sessions.

Awards for the 2020-2021 Toastmasters Year
We'll celebrate our member and club achievements from the 2020-2021 Toastmasters Year during the Hall of Fame portions of the TLI.
First we'll congratulate our members for all of the educational awards that they earned, and we'll give a shout out to our Distinguished, Select Distinguished and President's Distinguished clubs!
In the second part of the Hall of Fame, the District 62 annual awards will be presented. These awards include:

Officer Breakout Presenters and Resources
President
Lock Lyon, PM3
Lock is the Area 11 Director. He has been a Toastmaster for 11+ years, and is a speaker and author. He served as President of the "Speaking of Banking" club, and has held every club officer position at least once.
VP Education
Lathishia Ramanyahka
Lathishia is an English Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management. She is an Area Director in District 50 and a Club Coach. A member of 9 Toastmasters clubs, she has completed all 11 Paths.

Nadia Roumanos, IP5, DL5, VC1
Nadia is a healthcare analyst and joined Toastmasters in 2019. She has served in a number of club officer positions and is a past District 63 Area Director. This year she is VPE in C Division Advanced Speakers and VPPR in All Rounders (D43).

Larry Deavenport, SR5
He is currently the Division E Director and is a past director for Areas 10 and 16. He retired from the Amarillo Copper Refinery as a mechanical and instrumentation technician. Larry now dedicates his time to retirement, Toastmasters, senior center activities, and researching new space propulsion technology.
Secretary
Lisa Waalkes, DTM
Lisa is a 3-time Distinguished Toastmaster and has served in many leadership roles over the past 20+ years for our District, including Past District Governor. She has held every club officer role and is a mentor to many in our District.
Treasurer
Diane Sinclair, IP5
Diane Sinclair is the Division E Director. She is the Treasurer for Eloquents and Lansing Lucidas clubs. The Treasurer is an important role in the club, so join Diane in learning how to manage the money!
Sergeant at Arms
Richard Chulski, ACG, ALB
RJ joined Toastmasters in 2011. His first club officer position was Sergeant at Arms. This position is the glue that holds the club together. Just like our Ice Breaker speeches, this position can be the easiest role and, at the same time, the hardest.
