In this activity you will select strategies, accessible materials, accommodations, and instructional adaptations for each of the student profiles you completed. When you are finished you will have a plan for each student, focusing on SLD, OHI, TBI, and OI.
- Start with one of the student profiles, such as the profile for the student with a specific learning disability. Assign the profile to one person.
- Assign a section of the Supports handout to each member of your team. If needed you can assign more than one section to a person, or have two people work together on a section. Just make sure each section is addressed.
- Have the person with the profile review it with the team, then have each team member select one support from their section.
- Discuss the support choices for that student.
- Record your support and service choices for this student by placing a check mark by the identified supports.
- Repeat for each student profile.
- When you have completed this activity for each student profile you will have a set of identified supports to work from in planning how to build capacity in your district and schools to support students with SLD OHI TBI and OI.
