Distraction Monster is designed to help you block distracting apps, set focus limits, and build better screen-time habits.

Information We Collect

Distraction Monster stores the information needed to run the app, including your block lists, selected focus settings, schedules, daily limits, character customization, focus progress, and purchase entitlement status.

Screen Time and App Blocking

Distraction Monster uses Apple Screen Time, FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings APIs to let you select apps, websites, and categories to block. These Apple APIs are privacy-preserving. Distraction Monster uses the selected tokens and usage threshold events to apply app blocking and show focus progress.

We do not sell your Screen Time data. We do not use it for advertising or tracking.

iCloud Sync

If you use premium features that support iCloud restore or sync, Distraction Monster may store your app settings and progress in your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. This helps restore your data across devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

Purchases

Premium purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Distraction Monster uses Apple purchase information only to determine whether premium features are unlocked. We do not receive your full payment card information.

Tracking and Advertising

Distraction Monster does not use third-party advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Data Storage

Most app data is stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, some app data may also be stored in your private iCloud account.

Data Deletion

You can delete local app data by deleting the app from your device. You can manage or delete iCloud data through your Apple ID/iCloud settings. You can also contact us for privacy-related questions.

Children’s Privacy

Distraction Monster is intended to help users manage focus and screen time. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or tracking.
