Often surrounded by enemies or at least those unfriendly to his presence, the Core Inquisitor learns to conduct scans to gain the information he seeks whenever he can. At 1st level, the Core Inquisitor may use the surface scan telepathic ability as a free action once per round. When using surface scan as a free action, the Telepathy check DC is increased to 20.
Often it is hard to tell heretics from the faithful.
You use your Wisdom modifier instead of your Charisma modifier when making Bluff and Intimidate checks.
As soon as he is inducted into the Inquisitor division, the character engages in repetitive training designed to enhance their mental defenses and ensure he is all but unstoppable when approaching another telepath– even if they are ranked P12 too. The telepathic Damage Reduction provided by his Mental Fortress feat increases to DR 4.
Core Inquisitors are trained to stretch their entire vista of mental abilities, enabling them to cope with any situation while in the field.
At 2nd and 4th level, the Core Inquisitor receives the Ability Focus feat.
Core Inquisitors wield incredible levels of power within the Core and are entrusted with great responsibility. As such, a Core Inquisitor conducting an investigation into a rogue telepath will be able to requisition many resources from the Core. At 3rd level, the Core Inquisitor only suffers a –3 penalty when requesting further aid from his Psi Core Influence within a week. Normally, each use of an Influence after the first incurs a –4 penalty.
You use duplicity, stealth, and the heretics’ own arguments to root them out and bring them to justice.
At 3rd level, when you make a Bluff, Diplomacy, or Stealth check, you may roll twice and take the more favorable result.
You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to your Wisdom bonus.
Though not of the highest concern to many Core Inquisitors, there are times when they must protect mundanes and other telepaths from the influence of rogues and heretics. The Core inquisitor's extend shield telepathic ability may be used on those within medium range upon reaching 4th level.
Psi Core wields far more power in both the government and military than any mundane realize and Core Inquisitors are usually the instrument by which such influence is gained. At 5th level, the Core Inquisitor only suffers a –2 penalty when requesting further aid from his Psi Core Influence within a week.
At 5th level, the Core Inquisitor may choose one of the Telepathic Disciplines. When using a power associated with this Discipline, the Core Inquisitor rolls d6s when determining nonlethal damage, rather than d8s. The same Discipline may not be chosen twice with this class feature.
