Battery Tracker helps you remember when you replaced batteries in various devices. It can be helpful when you have a bunch of different devices that use the same rechargeable batteries, to determine if a specific battery is starting to fail and needs to be removed from rotation. Battery Tracker doesn’t log, send, or publish data anywhere, so no one else will be able to see it.
To start, you need to add an device to the app. From the main screen, touch the + at the top right of the screen. This allows you to add your device. A device here is anything that might contain a battery.
Now enter the device name. You can add a picture of the device by tapping Select a photo.
Tap the + to add battery information. You can also tap the back arrow at the top to save and return to the list view without adding batteries right now. Tapping + will bring up this screen.
Tap left arrow to return to the device.Â
Each time a battery is swapped, it will be added to the list for that device. If a specific battery is not lasting as long as the others, it may be time to retire it from rotation.
Once you've added some records, you can sort them alphabetically in ascending or descending order by tapping on the up/down arrows on the upper right.Â
To search for a specific item or subset of items, tap in the search field at the bottom of the screen, and enter the name, or partial name, of the item.
To edit a device, tap the entry in the list. Now you can change the device name and/or picture.
You can also add more records of battery switches by tapping the + or edit existing battery switches by clicking on the entry in the list
You can delete a battery switch from the list by sliding the entry to the left and then tapping the Delete button that appears.
Deleting a device works in the exact same way.
