To book the tour just fill out the form and we will contact you in less than 24 hours to organize your tour, we need at least 4 days to organize your tailor tour.

Where do you offer CPV tours?

Walking tours are organized all around the Basque country, but they are better suited for urban centers. We have a large tailor tour possibilities for you, so no matter what city you’re traveling to.

How does the booking process work?

Fill out our form request. Send in a booking request and tell us about your travel plans, who you’re traveling with, and any extra details. Remember, the more details the better. With this information, we will then choose the right tour based on your interests.

How far in advance do I have to book?

For bigger cities, we only need 24 hours to match you with the tour local. In smaller cities, we ask for 4 days to fulfill your tailor booking. As a general rule, the more notice you give us, the more time we can spend finding you the best tour suited for your tour.

How do I make changes to my booking?

Please email us at infoconociendopc@gmail.com if you would like to add or remove a person from your booking.

Why do I have to pay for this?

Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours team works hard to find you the most passionate and knowledgeable local tours. We screen each tour to make sure they’re the right one for our customers. Part of your payment goes towards maintaining the chain, while the other part also goes to the locals guides who take the time share their city life with you.

Why do you charge per person?

A per-person pricing model allows Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours to be more accessible to everyone, from solo travellers to larger groups. Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours are paid based on the size of the group so it’s important we know how many people will be participating in the tour.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including American Express.

What happens if the Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours workers cancels?

While this is extremely rare, if a Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours workers cancels your tour, we will reach out to you with other options. These options will include a new Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours workers who is available or a change in date.

Please know we take cancellations very seriously. If this unfortunate event occurs, you will be fully reimbursed, and the Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours workers will be suspended from Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours workers tours until the issue is resolved.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change. As long as you cancel your booking 24 hours before the tour, you will be automatically reimbursed in full.

What can I expect from the tour?

Our guides are passionate about their city, but they are not professional guides. Do not expect a history lesson with precise facts. Instead, our guides will show you a local’s authentic perspective of the city and help you get familiar with the neighborhood, find the best places to eat, the easiest ways to get around, and the hidden gems you might have missed. By the end of the tour, you'll feel comfortable navigating the city and confident that you have all the information you need to make the most of your stay. Through conversations with your guide, you’ll learn about cultural differences, local events, and what it’s like to be a true local.

What is the itinerary?

There is no set itinerary, and no two tours will be the same! Each guide's tour is completely customized; let us know what your preferences are or if there is anything specific, you’d like to see, and our guides will organize a route accordingly. In other words, we tailor a tour for you. You can even leave it up to our trustworthy guides and they’ll plan a route that explores their favorite areas of the city. Either way, you’ll see the city from a local’s perspective and discover something new.

What is not included in the price of the tour?

Any costs that arise during the tour are your responsibility. If you decide to use public transportation or enter an attraction, you would need to cover these costs for yourself and the tourist guide. If it is not included in the tours. It's always a nice gesture to pay for the guide’s food should you decide to stop at a restaurant or café, but it’s not compulsory.

How long do you recommend for a guided tour?

This all depends on the size of a city. For smaller cities, we recommend 3 hours or more. For larger cities such as Bilbao or Pamplona, we recommend 4 hours as you will be able to explore more with your Tour Guide.

What if I want to extend the tour?

You do have the option of extending the tour if you’d like. Just be sure to ask if the Tour Guide is available. In case you extend the tour, please pay the Tour Guide in cash at the end of the tour.

How will I find my Tour Guide?

It’s fairly obvious as you will both be looking for each other in the same meeting location. We also provide the phone number of the Tour Guide that you can contact in case you can’t find each other.

Can the Tour Guide meet me where I am staying?

If your accommodations are within walking distance to the city center, we actually suggest that the Tour Guide meet you there. This avoids navigating busy streets or crowded landmarks. If it is outside the city center, we will discuss with the Tour Guide a meeting location that is easy to find and inside the city center. Once confirmed, we will send an email that includes the address and a Google Maps link for your convenience.

Why is there no option for larger groups?

Conociendo Pais Vasco Tours are better suited for smaller, more intimate groups. It’s easier to interact with each other when the group stays smaller than six. You’ll get to have valuable conversations with your Tour Guide, learning more than you ever thought possible.

Can I contact the Tour Guide before the tour?

Yes, after the booking is confirmed, we will provide you with the e-mail address and phone number of the Tour Guide. You can reach out to him or her with any questions you may have. If you can’t get in touch with your Tour Guide, please contact us at infoconociendopv@gmail.com.

What if I can’t find the Tour Guide?

In most cases, the Tour Guide is running late or just can’t find you. Please contact the Tour Guide directly with the number we provided if you are having trouble finding each other.

How long should I wait for the Tour Guide?

Please wait 15 minutes for the Tour Guide. There could be a number of reasons why the Tour Guide might be late. Most of the time, they are waiting for you but just can’t find you. If you are concerned, please contact the Tour Guide directly with the number we provided.

I’m running late, what should I do?

The Tour Guide will wait 30 minutes for you but please try to be on time for your tour. We cannot guarantee that the Tour Guide will be able to make up for the lost time. If you are lost and cannot find the meeting location, contact the local guide and they will try to steer you in the right direction.

I want a driving tour. Is this possible?

In general, tours are walking tours. You may use public transportation, but it is not included in the cost of the tour. If you would like to use any public transportation during the tour, you would need to cover these costs for yourself and the Tour Guide. There are some exceptions to this. We offer the option of a car on certain cities tours, but this must be arranged on a case-by-case basis. It is having to be booked in advance.

Do I tip the Tour Guide?

You are not required to tip Tour Guides, but it is a nice gesture if you enjoyed your time.

Can we take a photo of the tour?

We would love it if you took photos during the tour! If you would like to share them with us, you can send them to infoconociendopv@gmail.com and we will feature them on our website.

Who are Tour Guides?

Tour Guides are locals who are passionate about their city. They love to meet new people and have a diverse range of interests. Some of the locals are not professional tour guides but lead these tours occasionally because they want to share their city with others. Some of our Tour Guides have been in the city their whole lives, while other have relocated because they fell in love with the city. Whether they’ve been there for 3 years or 30 years, we make sure each Tour Guide has a deep love for their city and knows it like the back of their hand.

How do you choose Tour Guides?

Our Tour Guides go through a process like a job application. They are selected based on their initial application and their interview. With this process, we determine if their knowledge of and love for their city is not just sufficient, but superior.

What happens if the Tour Guide I choose is not available?

Sometimes our schedules just don’t match up. If this happens, we will choose a Tour Guide for you based on your interests and availability. All our Tour Guides have been vetted and interviewed, so we know that you’ll have a great time with any one of them.

Can I become a Tour Guide myself?
