DiscountAid ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you" or "your"). Contact Information: We collect your name, email address, phone number, and physical address when you create an account, post ads, or interact with our services.
We do not collect any government-issued identification numbers or any financial information, such as credit card details.
Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the App, including the device model. Google Cloud Console, which is integrated with our app, may also collect device model information. While we do not explicitly collect operating system details, Google Cloud Console may collect this information as part of its standard data collection practices. Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including the features you use and the time you spend in the App.
Location Data: We collect your location data, including GPS coordinates and network-based location, to enable core app functionality.
Other Data: While we do not explicitly collect IP addresses, unique device identifiers, or advertising identifiers, Google Cloud Console may collect this information as part of its standard data collection practices.
Posts and Ads: Users can create and post ads within the App. This content, including text, images, and other details, is stored in our Firestore database. Link to the Google Firebase privacy policy is provided at the end.
Storage and Use: User-generated content is stored in our Firebase database and is only accessible to logged-in users.
Google Cloud Console and Firebase: We use Google Cloud Console and Firebase services, which may collect and process data as described in their respective privacy policies. This includes device information, usage data, and other data.
3. Methods of Data Collection
a. Directly from Users:
Account Creation: You provide your name, email address, phone number, and physical address when you want to use advertisement posting feature. For generate use, you only provide your email and name when you sign in using your Gmail ID.
Forms: You provide information through Google Forms when interacting with other features, which is, request for advertisement creation assistance.
In-App Interactions: You provide information through your interactions within the App.
b. Automatically:
Google Cloud Console and Firebase: Google Cloud Console and Firebase automatically collect certain data, such as device information and usage data, as part of their standard operations.
4. Purpose of Data Collection
a. App Functionality:
Location Data: Location data is essential for the App to function correctly, allowing users to view ads relevant to their location.
Ad Creation: The name, address and location of the user creating ads are essential for the ad creation process.
b. Personalization:
We do not use data to personalize the user experience.
c. Analytics:
We use data for analytics and app improvement, helping us understand how users interact with the App and identify areas for enhancement.
d. Advertising:
We do not use data for targeted advertising.
e. Communication:
We use your email address to communicate with you, including sending notifications and updates about the App.
f. Security:
We use data to protect the App and users from fraud and abuse.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
a. Third-Party Service Providers:
Firebase and Google Cloud Console: We share data with Firebase and Google Cloud Console as part of our use of their services. These services may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies.
b. Legal Requirements:
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
c. Business Transfers:
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data continues to be protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

a. Security Measures:
Access Control: We have implemented access controls through Gmail login to limit access to your data.
Firebase and Google Cloud Console Security: Firebase and Google Cloud Console employ industry-standard security measures, including encryption, to protect data.
Encryption: Data stored in Firebase is encrypted at rest and in transit.
b. Data Breach Procedures:
In the event of a data breach, we will take all applicable steps as required by law, including notifying affected users and relevant authorities.
7. User Rights
a. Access and Correction:
You have the ability to access, update, and correct your data through the App's edit data option under Profile section.
b. Deletion:
You can request the deletion of your data by sending an email to us at discountaid@gmail.com.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by sending an email notification to the email address associated with your account.
