Discord Chat Exporter ("we", "our", or "the Extension") respects and protects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user data.

### 1. Local Processing Only

Discord Chat Exporter operates entirely on your local device. When you export chats, message data, channel information, and media attachments are fetched directly from Discord's servers to your browser and compiled locally into your chosen format (HTML, PDF, CSV, JSON, TXT).

### 2. No External Data Collection

- We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or monitor your chat logs, private messages, attachments, or passwords on any external server.

- We do NOT use third-party analytics trackers, telemetry, or advertising SDKs.

- Your Discord authorization token is captured strictly in local browser memory to make authorized API calls directly to Discord on your behalf, and is stored solely in your browser's local extension storage (`chrome.storage.local`).

### 3. Payment and License Information

When upgrading to Discord Chat Exporter Pro, payments are processed externally by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), under their secure privacy and payment policies. We do not receive, process, or store your credit card or financial information. Only the license key you enter is verified against the Lemon Squeezy API to confirm your Pro status.

### 4. Third-Party Services

The extension communicates only with:

- `discord.com`: To retrieve your selected channel messages and media files upon your request.

- `api.lemonsqueezy.com`: To activate and validate license keys for Pro users.
