🔥 New! Free Race Weekend Checklist Pack + Dirt Driven Adventures is now live.
Wowzie wow am I exhausted! We had another great weekend— Kenneth Stephens and I volunteered to help at Battle of the Goats and Noah Goon Stephens raced it — he completed 2 full laps in the 5 hours. Then we packed up from there and headed to the NCHSA race— I was so nervous because this was my first race on my new 2026 Beta— and I can’t really touch the ground well and haven’t really rode it to test it out— I had some struggles but still came out with a win! I was super proud of how I adapted to the different bike and was still able to make it up all the hills and finish with a win! I did have a couple crashes and a lot of times that I dropped my bike and now she had a few war wounds. At least it won’t hurt so bad the next time I drop her!!

Not every race is about the podium.
Sometimes it's about making smart decisions, staying in control, and finishing stronger than you started.
Going into Coyote Run, I wasn't feeling my best and quickly realized this wasn't going to be a "send it wide open" kind of day. The track was rough, rutted, and physically demanding, so I made a decision early on: ride my pace, stay smooth, and focus on control over speed.
Did I finish where I wanted? Nope.
Did I learn something? Absolutely.
I finished last... and I'm proud of it.
This race reminded me that progress isn't always measured by speed or trophies. Sometimes progress looks like patience, consistency, and making smart choices when things aren't going your way.
If you're on your own riding journey, I hope this video reminds you that every race has something to teach us.

From Courtney : It’s amazing how work acquaintances can turn into people who mean so much and become truly great friends. Kenneth and I met through Vascular Surgery and bonded over dirt bike racing—only to realize he was already working with the Mid East Racing Series Gideon was racing in. Small world doesn’t even begin to cover it.
From there, he showed up to cheer Gideon on like he’d been part of our circle all along, introduced us to his incredible family, and the rest is history. Last night was the first (okay, technically second after Everley’s birthday party ) of many gatherings to come—and it already feels like one of those friendships that just fit.
Also, a little shoutout to my mother-in-law for encouraging me to open my home again, even in the middle of school and working/clinical 6 days a week. I’ve put it off for years, worrying my house wasn’t “perfect”—but she reminded me that real friends don’t care… and honestly, they’ll probably jump in and help anyway.
Day 3.
Three days into this journey and something already shifted.
Last night at Brown Mountain I stood on the bike more than I EVER have before. My legs were on fire. My back was smoked. I picked my bike up more times than I wanted to …but I stayed in it.
And honestly?
That felt like a breakthrough.
This isn’t just “working out.”
This is me building the rider I know I can become.
So today it was back to the gym.
No waiting for motivation.
No “starting Monday.”
Just stacking reps, rides, skills, and consistency one day at a time.
The goal:
Battle of the Goats Hard Enduro
The mission:
Become capable of things that used to intimidate me.
Day 3.
Still showing up.
Still building ready.
