Direct Engineering is currently recruiting and experienced Structural Draughtsman to join our busy fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities

• To produce quality detailed arrangement drawings for client approval.
• Attend site meetings (Design/Progress).
• Attend in-house meetings (Handover/Progress/Contract review).
• Liaise with production, site and external suppliers.
• Co-ordinate all aspects of the design with all relevant team members.
• Raise all necessary items in line with the project.
• Carry out site visits.
• Co-ordinate and convey all structural information supplied by a Structural Engineer
• Prepare production drawings and material schedules for shop manufacture.
• Monitor and form progress reports against contract programme.

Experience

• Significant CAD experience in Structural Steel/Fabrication sector.
• Previous experience with Advance Steel software
• Ability to monitor and review the as built drawing process
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• BS EN 1090-2 experience

Direct Engineering are looking for experienced Pipefitter/ welder.

Direct Engineering specialise in hygienic pipework systems within food and beverage process plants but also carry out various types of pipework installation. The ideal candidate will be competent in both carbon and stainless pipework systems and have experience in food and beverage plants.

The candidate should be able to read off AUTOCAD. A variety of skills will be needed as this is a small, but growing, company and therefore the successful candidate must be versatile and be able to multitask. Regular overtime will be required, paid at a premium rate.

Essential Requirements

• Food and Beverage plants experience.

• Experienced or capable of working to high standard of QHSE requirements.
