Venue

The meeting will take place in the Leganés Campus of the University Carlos III of Madrid.

Monday

The conference on Monday will take place in Salón de Grados / Aula de Grados, located in building 5 (Edificio padre soler). Enter the building through the entrance located at corner between buildings 4 and 5. Climb the stairs and head to your right.

Tuesday to Friday

From Tuesday to Friday the venue we will be in the Sala de Audiovisuales 3.S.01 of the library, building 3. Enter building 3 through the main entrance and in front of the reception desk you will find the stairs. Descend one floor to reach the room.

From the airport to Central Station (Atocha)

To reach the city from the airport, there are several options.

The Airport Express Bus (Línea Exprés Aeropuerto) stops are located outside the Arrivals area of T1, T2, and T4. T3 is 10-15 minutes walking from T2. The final stop is Atocha Central Station and the travel time 30–40 minutes (depending on traffic). The Cost is 5€ (you can pay with contactless/credit card or cash). Between 23:30 and 06:00, the bus ends at "Plaza de Cibeles", metro station Banco de España, instead of Atocha. From Cibeles, it is 20-minute walk to the station.
Metro: Line 8 (pink) has one stop at Terminals 1, 2, 3 and another at T4. It heads to the city center (station Nuevos Ministerios), but to reach Atocha one needs to do a connection. There are two options:
- Continue with Metro L10 (dark blue) until Tribunal and then L1 (light blue) until Atocha. This can be done with the same metro ticket that was acquired at the airport.
- Take a short range train (Cercanías) in Nuevos Ministerios (all the lines go to Atocha). This involves acquiring also a ticket for the short range train. In the station one has to leave the Metro zone and enter the Cercanías zone, they are separated. Cercanías is indicated with a twisted white C on a red background.
Short Range train (Cercanías) from T4: This is usually the fastes way to reach central station but there are works in the line and one has to take now a connection at Chamartín Station. All the other Cercanías lines in Chamartín go to Atocha Central Station.
Taxi: Official taxis (white with red strip) have a fixed rate of €30 from the airport to any point in the city center (inside the M-30 ring), including Atocha. There is no extra charge for luggage. Uber/Cabify can cost between 25€-40€.

From the Airport to Leganés by Taxi

There is not a fix rate in this case. Average direct trip by official taxi is 50€-60€ during day and 55€-65€ nights and weekends.

From Central Station (Atocha) to the University

Take a short range train (Cercanías) Line C5 in Atocha, direction Humanes (usually platform 9 or 10). The stop of the University is Leganés. Here you can find a map of the Cercanías network. The trip takes 20 minutes, plus then 5 minutes walking.

You have to follow the street and you will reach the corner of the campus. The building right at that corner, with square plan, is the Sabatini building (number 2), where the Mathematics Department is located. The address is “Avenida de la Universidad 30, Leganés”.
