The Digital Processor & System-on-Chip (DiPS) Lab is a research group in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UNIST, Ulsan, South Korea. We focus on HW-friendly algorithm optimizations, digital computing architectures, and circuit implementations for intelligent computing systems.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between algorithmic innovation and hardware realization by co-designing across algorithm, architecture, and circuit levels. The research interests include machine learning accelerators, domain-specific computing systems, and reconfigurable hardware platforms. By integrating research efforts, we aim to develop digital systems that enable next-generation applications.
[2026/03] Our paper entitled "Vertical-Die (V-die) 3.5D Integration for Cool Ultrahigh-Bandwidth Memory Systems " has been accepted for presentation at IEEE Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits (VLSI 2026).
[2026/03] Our research group has launched a research project funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) under the Outstanding Young Scientist Grant Type B.
[2026/02] Our paper entitled "Asymmetric KV cache compression using state-aware sparsity and quantization" has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Artificial Intelligence (TCASAI).
